Rhino Resources
The nickname "Rhino" was given to me by a friend many years ago. The origin of the name was actually on a softball field. By the time I rounded first I had "smoke coming out of my nose, the earth was shaking, and there was a cloud of dust behind me." If you were a catcher, you absolutely did not want to be blocking home plate. :-)
The name 'stuck,' and I've had a growing fascination with the animal ever since. I collect rhino figurines, pictures, and more. While the 'physical' similarities between myself and a rhino are kinda obvious, the personality traits are a little more subtle, but perhaps more profound.
Below you'll find a few pictures of rhinos (taken by me unless otherwise noted) and links to various rhino-sites and web-cams that I've found on the net. Since I live in Cincinnati, Ohio, I have access to the world famous Cincinnati Zoo. The Cincinnati Zoo is the home of Emi, the Sumatran Rhino who gave birth to Andalas (the first Sumatran born in captivity in over 100 years), and more recently (2004) gave birth to Suci.
I hope you enjoy the pictures and links. If you're aware of additional resources that I haven't listed, please let me know on the message board.
